What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’ve been playing football literally my whole life, so it wasn’t hard to make a choice of playing a game that I’ve been seeing my whole life.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I have a lot actually but two that stick out to me are going to Florida for nationals when I was 11 on my Pop Warner team. And the second one was becoming an All-American I thought that was a big accomplishment.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My pops. I say my pops because he’s a hard working man and seeing him handle business everyday and taking care of the family allows me to have a good role model to look up to.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

Stepping into a bigger role as a vet and leading a top team in the country.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Probably Ed Reed because he was a great db that knew the game of football well and I feel like he would have good knowledge to share to help me learn the game more.

What is the most elite thing you do and why?

Pick the ball off. I feel like my ball skills are good and when I get the opportunity to catch a pass from the other teams qb I like to capitalize on those situations.

What should we know about Maxwell Anderson the person?

I’m real big on FAMILY. I would do anything to make sure my family is straight and taken care of. The people in my circle are the ones I do it for.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I like the nickel and dime packages with 3 or 4 corners in the game, 5 to 6 dbs on the field when we can run drop 8s because that usually means we have the other team in passing situations and that allows me to know the different plays I can make on the field. But I also like playing man to man on 1st downs plus 3rd and 4th and shorts because it allows you to lock in and take away a wide receiver from the offense’s play.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

The simple answer is I find a way. You have to be able to push through the hard times and challenges because they don’t last long and it’s probably a lesson that you can take away from the situation that can make you a better person.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A competitor first off, a leader, a playmaker, a hard worker, and someone who has a lot of knowledge on the game of football but also willing to learn and get better each and everyday in every aspect of my life.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Competing and making plays for sure.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

My brother LJ Anderson, and I don’t know why everybody is sleeping on him. Tell everybody to go check my brother out at Weber State football #32.
