MLB Baseball Player commits to SEC football program to play wide receiver
According to Richard Davenport of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, former four-star wide receiver-turned-baseball player Monte Harrison has committed to the University of Arkansas and intends to play under head coach Sam Pittman.
Harrison was committed to Nebraska back in 2014 but never used any of his eligibility while pursuing his baseball career. Harrison would go on to play baseball and was selected in the 2nd round of the MLB draft.
Harrison has 76 career major league plate appearances in three Major League Baseball seasons split between the Miami Marlins and the Los Angeles Angels.
Harrison was a beast in high school as a wide receiver. He finished with 1000 plus yards and 13 touchdowns. Arkansas could use a weapon, so this is an interesting addition.
