A Person died at Ohio Stadium after falling from the top of the stadium during graduation ceremony
According to reports, a person died after falling from the top of the stadium on Sunday. The student newspaper “The Lantern” confirmed a person died from falling.
“An individual fell from the stands. They are deceased, We have no additional details to share at this time. Police and emergency responders are on the scene. For anyone affected by today’s incident, we will make counseling and other support resources available.”
This happened about 30 minutes before the commencement ceremony.
The incident reportedly took place at the Bell Tower of Ohio Stadium. Ohio State’s 2024 spring commencement ceremony began at noon and is scheduled to conclude before 3 p.m.
It’s unclear if the victim was a graduating student or someone attending the ceremony. No additional details were made available.
