EJ Perry leads Michigan Panthers to playoff berth

Pittsburgh Maulers vs Michigan Panthers
Channel: NBC/Peacock
Time: 8:00 PM EST
Stadium: Tom Benson Hall of fame Stadium, Canton, OH
Panthers win
EJ Perry was looking like he has been running the offense for weeks! The kid was phenomenal in the RPO offense (Run-Pass-Option) The QB was completing passes left and right, gaining first downs with his legs. Perry was looking great out there in his USFL Debut! The former Brown University QB led the Panthers to a 23-20 victory over the Philadelphia Stars.
EJ Perry would have some struggles especially with the snaps. Perry is going to have to clean up on those little mistakes if he wants to make a good playoff run in the USFL. Despite the fumbled and mishandled snaps, the Panthers signal-caller was good and did his job of getting the job done.
Stats in win:
EJ Perry would go for 12-23 for 121 yards with a completion percentage of 53.2%, Perry started the game out a little shaky but once he got settled in he was on the money. Perry would finish his playoff debut with a QBR of 67.5. A pretty solid number for a young QB making a debut.
The Dual-Threat QB would show some athleticism on the ground, on ten rushing attempts Perry would have 48 rushing yards with one touchdown! The Stars did not know how to stop the RPOs.
Final thoughts:
I am predicting that EJ Perry will lead the Panthers to the USFL championship game. I expect the Panthers to continue to run the RPOs offense and it will workout perfectly against the Pittsburgh Maulers defense.
