Florida Gators football player arrested after high speed chase with police hitting 150 mph
We have seen a lot of arrests of college football players this year for speeding and reckless driving. Shoot, Georgia football team has several already this year and led the league last year.
Well, a young Florida Gators defensive lineman spent two nights in jail this weekend after he was arrested for speeding.
Michai Boireau, a freshman, was charged with fleeing deputies at speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour and causing serious injury with a vehicle.
Police in Monroe County said Boireau was clocked at 86 miles per hour when the first noticed him, but he would lay on the gas. He was speeding and would get the speedometer over 150 miles per hour before he drove his vehicle at the median hitting a Chevy Malibu, injuring a driver.
Police attended the man injured, and then placed the Gators football player in custody. Boireau was released after posting his bond that was set at 60,000 dollars.
