Pitt football player Dayon Hayes was arrested in a domestic incident and charged with assault
Pittsburgh football standout Dayon Hayes was arrested in a very scary domestic incident.
The 6’4, 275 pound pass rusher was arrested for simple assault, but the police report was much more damning.
On Sunday night, police arrested Hayes, after Police dispatchers received a 911 call saying she was trying to get away from the Pitt Pass Rusher.
The female asked Hayes to leave the house according to the report and he became irate. He reportedly grabbed a full fist of her hair and was pulling her around but because it was a wig she was able to get away. He then reportedly doused his baby’s Mother with bleach and slammed her leg in the door so she could not get out.
Hayes then reportedly grabbed the phone from her as she was on the call with a dispatcher and hung up on them.
Head Coach Pat Narduzzi reeleased this statement.
“The incident involving Dayon Hayes is incredibly disappointing and concerning. I take all disciplinary matters very seriously, and that is especially the case with situations of this kind.
“Our players know they are accountable for their actions, both on and off the field. I’ve conveyed this to Dayon, who will be immediately subject to team disciplinary measures in addition to any legal consequences that may arise. The details of that discipline will remain a private matter.”
