Could former New York Jets football player Joe McKnight’s killer in a road rage incident be tried again for the killing?

Louisiana Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments as to whether or not the man who killed NFL player Joe McKnight can be tried again for murder after his lesser charge was overturned.
The former New York Jets running back was shot and killed in a road rage incident in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The shooter was Ronald Gasser, who was originally charged with 2nd degree murder.
The murder however, was dropped to manslaughter a lesser charge. The crazy thing is because the jury was non-unanimous, and Gasser basically walked free.
Now, the Supreme Court is trying to look at the documentation to see if Gasser can in fact be charged again, because the non-unanimous jury should not be considered an acquittal.
We will see what happens, but for the McKnight family, hopefully they can get some justice.
