What are you hoping to show scouts at the 2022 Hula Bowl?
- I’m hoping to show the scouts that players from service academies can ball! I also want to show my ability to tackle in the open field and cover elite receivers in space. I want to show how physical I can be even though I’m not the biggest guy on the field. I want to prove the cliche “it’s not the size of the dog that’s in the fight, it’s the size of the fight that’s in the dog!”
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
- I would donate to Feed My Starving Children because my dad has told me stories of how he grew up and I would like to try to prevent that from happening to anyone else.
Tell our readers one thing that the world may not know about you? (Special Talents)
- One of my special talents is that I have a ‘dad joke’ ready at all times.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
- The best advice I have ever received is to treat every relationship like it will last a lifetime because you never know if it is going to last or not.
What is your favorite song to listen to before kickoff?
- My go to pregame song is Underground Kings by Drake.
If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
- If I were an animal I would most likely be a Hyena.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
- The hardest moment for me was when they canceled my season and I decided to take that semester off. Then the Mountain West announced that they were having a season 3 days after I got home. It was challenging to see my teammates play our senior season without me. But it gave me an opportunity to work on my weaknesses so that this past season would be the best I’ve ever played.
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?
- I would compare myself to Denzel Ward because of our similar stature and playing style. I believe my man coverage is strong and I am a good cover 2 and cover 4 defender which is his strongest characteristic as well.
Did you have a favorite player or team in the NFL when you were growing up?
- My favorite player when I was younger was Richard Sherman. I loved him because he was a smart guy like me since he went to Stanford. I always idolized him because I wanted to go to a prestigious school and play in the NFL. 2 things he was able to accomplish.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
- I would choose LeBron James because of how influential he has been not only in basketball but in his community. Drake because he is my favorite artist and I have a lot of questions I’d like to ask him. Finally, Zendaya because of how successful she’s been and I’ve always seen her doing things since I watched Disney Channel, also because it’s Zendaya.
