NFL Draft Diamonds WAY TOO EARLY 2020 NFL Mock Draft

2020 NFL Mock Draft presented by NFL Draft Diamonds owner Damond Talbot has several players that you would not expect!!!

The NFL Draft for 2019 just wrapped up, so why not start talking about Round 1 of 2020.  Yep, I want to get an early jump and I know my followers will love it. So let’s begin.

1.) Miami Dolphins – Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama – Yep, they already have their QB of the future in Josh Rosen. Before you throw him to the wolves, you give him some weapons to see if he will be good.

2.) Arizona Cardinals – Grant Delpit, S, LSU – The Cardinals cannot pass on this kid, if you want to make Patrick Peterson happy, bring him some players who will play well with him. Delpit is that guy.

3.) New York Giants – Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State – The Giants struggled with Eli Manning this year, but Daniel Jones was a bit of a surprise. He looked the part, but just needed some more time and reps.

4.) Jacksonville Jaguars – Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon – Nick Foles was not the answer.  After getting injured early in the season, the Jaguars need to do something because their fan base is not happy.  Herbert is the guy that can get the fan base going again, even though everyone else loves Tua.

5.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama – The Buccaneers catch a blessing with the Jaguars drafting Herbert over Tua.  Tua comes in right away and takes over the reigns from Jameis.  Jameis had a chance to shine, and failed miserably with multiple opportunities.

6.) Cincinnati Bengals – Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia – Yep, three quarterbacks in a row. You cannot blame them for going QB either. Andy Dalton has had opportunities and it is time for them to move on. Fromm to Green sounds so good, especially if you are a Georgia fan.

7.) Denver Broncos – A.J. Epenesa, DE, Iowa – The Broncos add another force opposite of Von Miller. Epenesa had 10.5 sacks last year and 16.5 sacks as a sophomore. I can only imagine how many he will land this year.

8.) Washington Redskins – Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia – The Redskins landed Dwayne Haskins but struggled to keep him upright. The three year starter Thomas will be a huge upgrade on their line. He will come in day one and be a starter for years to come.

9.) Las Vegas Raiders – Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn – Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock land one of the best defensive lineman in the country. He is a massive man at 6050 and 325 pounds. He racked up 20 tackles for loss and this is a huge upgrade for the Raiders.

10.) Atlanta Falcons – Walker Little, OT, Stanford – The Falcons have some of the best offensive weapons in the NFL but this will help them win some games. Little is a massive 6070 man who could end up being the first OT selected in the draft. The Falcons worked on the interior line this year, and next year they need to focus on the tackles especially if they want to win when Matt Ryan is still in his prime.

11.) New York Jets – C.J. Henderson, CB, Florida – The Jets made a huge mistake paying Trumaine Johnson and they need to find a shut down corner. They land the player from CB-University who is one of the best in the country at shutting down big time receivers.

12.) Carolina Panthers – Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson – The Carolina Panthers stay local and add a true weapon. The 6040, 200 pound wide out is a touchdown machine, and Cam Newton has not had one of those since Steve Smith.

13.) Buffalo Bills – Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson – The kid has 37 touchdowns and 311 rushing attempts in the last three years. The Bills are expected to lose Shady McCoy and Frank Gore. They will have TJ Yeldon and Devin Singletary, but none have the speed of Etienne.

14.) Tennessee Titans – Trey Smith, OT, Tennessee – The Titans stay local and get a massive OT in 6060, 320 pound Trey Smith.  The Titans need to solidify their line and they have been trying since Mike Munchak but it is still a problem.

15.) Baltimore Ravens – Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin – The Ravens finally get Lamar Jackson a little help. After a very sub-par year from Mark Ingram the Ravens land Taylor who has 4,171 yards and 29 tds in the last two seasons.

16.) Detroit Lions – Laviska Shenault Jr, WR, Colorado – The Lions still believe in Matthew Stafford, I do not get it, but they do. They draft him a wide receiver in Shenault Jr., who is a replica of Sammy Watkins coming out of college.  This is a sneaky good draft pick.

17.) Green Bay Packers – Tyler Biadasz, OG, Wisconsin – The Packers need some OL help and guard is where they struggle the most. Biadasz is their best option because like the Lions Rodgers is not getting any younger.

18.) Houston Texans – Julian Okwara, EDGE, Notre Dame – The Texans lost Jadeveon Clowney in free agency next year and they find his replacement. He could end up being a top 10 pick. I would not be shocked.

19.) San Francisco 49ers – Bryce Hall, DB, Virginia – Hall is a pass breakup machine, who stands at 6010, and 200 pounds.  He is a press corner but he is a dog. I like Hall and feel he will be a Sherman replacement.

20.) Las Vegas Raiders (via Chicago Bears) – Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson – This kid should be a top ten pick. He charts off the board when it comes to physical stature.  He is a perfect fit in the Raiders defense, and after adding two solid players the Raiders will be a force on Defense.

21.) Los Angeles Rams – Raekwon Davis, DL Alabama – Rams defense does not hold up to their end of the bargain this year. They have a high powered offense but struggle on the defensive side of the ball.  Rams faces a prove-it-year as a senior, but he is a stud.

22.) Indianapolis Colts – Trey Adams, OT, Washington – He would have been a first rounder this year if he did not tear an ACL and have a bulging disc.  He is a massive man, but if he has a healthy year he will be a first rounder.

23.) Dallas Cowboys – Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah – He had four interceptions including a huge pick six as a sophomore.  The 6 foot corner could compete to be the first corner drafted in 2020.

24.) Minnesota Vikings – Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU – The Vikings have been rumored to have put both of their starting cornerbacks on the trade block. If that is the case, they better go out and draft Fulton. Fulton is a stud and although he had an ankle injury last year I expect him to rebound in 2019.

25.) Seattle Seahawks – CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma – The Seahawks drafted DK Metcalf  last year and now they follow it up with CeeDee Lamb. They want to get Russell Wilson some weapons and that is a smart move.  Lamb and Metcalf are going to be nasty.

26.) Pittsburgh Steelers – Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE, Penn State – Gross-Matos is a guy I could see going in the top 15. He took a huge jump last season, and I expect him to have a better season this year. Steelers could use some more edge presence and Yetur is a local product.

27.) Kansas City Chiefs – Nick Coe, DL, Auburn – Chiefs have a stacked team and somehow Patrick Mahomes did it again. This time without Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt.  They fell short though because of their defensive line. Coe is a big boy with a solid pass rush.

28.) New England Patriots – Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama – The Patriots have 14 picks this draft, and they take the best player available. Moses is a beast and you cannot go wrong with him. The Patriots liked Terrell Lewis but were afraid of his injury history.

29.) Philadelphia Eagles – Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama – I wanted the Eagles to take a cornerback early this year because I feel that is their biggest weakness and if they would have listened to me they would not have lost the NFC Championship.

30.) Cleveland Browns – Kenny Willekes, DE, Michigan State – The Browns and Baker Mayfield had a run. They were a field goal away from beating the Chargers, but it was Phillip Rivers having time in the pocket that was the difference maker.  Willekes opposite of Myles Garrett will fix that problem quickly.

31.) New Orleans Saints – Jordan Love, QB, Utah State – The Saints find Drew Brees’ replacement. They came up short to the Los Angeles Chargers in the Super Bowl, but Brees’ understudy did a great job. Love is a perfect fit for the Saints offense.

32.) Los Angeles Chargers – Anfernee Jennings, ILB, Alabama – Chargers find a MIKE linebacker who is tenacious. Jennings is a stud and a future Pro Bowler. Chargers land a player that should not have been there.
