Abdul Carter, the 20-year-old star football player at Penn State is facing a misdemeanor assault charge after confronting a tow truck driver last month.

Carter allegedly pulled the driver of the tow truck out of his vehicle and threw him on the ground. The star pass rusher was charged today with a second-degree misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary count of harassment.

Carter came outside the apartment complex when Halfmoon Valley Towing was hooking up his Dodge Challenger to take it away. The report says the alarm went off which caused Carter to come outside.

The man working for Halfmoon Valley Towing reportedly grabbed a metal bar and yelled at Carter to back away. Carter did back away until the man began trying to take his car. A video showed Carter pulling the man out of the car, dragging him across the street, and dropping him on the ground.

The man is claiming he broke a rib in the incident.
