XFL forms a partnership with The Spring League to test rules for inaugural season

The XFL has formed a partnership with The Spring League, an elite professional football developmental league to test changes to rules and gameplay to make sure it is a hit come 2020!

The XFL and the Spring League have formed a partnership to work out any kinks before the inaugural season

The Spring League will begin in Austin, Texas from March 28 to April 11 and will provide players the opportunity to showcase their ability in front of XFL, NFL and other professional football talent evaluators.

Coaches will work closely with the executives of the XFL to perfect on-field adjustments the league has been researching and developing since announcing its return.

“We believe that conducting live R&D sessions to test our potential game adjustments in real time is critical,” says Oliver Luck, XFL Commissioner & CEO. “Putting the best product on the field is our number one priority and thanks to partners like The Spring League, we are confident that the changes we eventually decide to employ will have the desired effect and we will deliver outstanding football when we kick off.”

“This is an exciting partnership for The Spring League,” says Brian Woods, CEO, The Spring League. “We applaud the XFL’s effort to reimagine the game and simultaneously provide our players an additional opportunity to display their talents for XFL coaches and scouts in attendance.”

This is a great alliance because both of the leagues are working to create a developmental league for the NFL. Before there were not enough leagues and now there are tons!
