Say What? A study shows half the NFL fans believe the NFL refs play favorites | 1 in 6 fans feel the NFL is Rigged
Who doesn’t love a fan survey? NJ Bet surveyed 1,006 NFL fans nationwide on their thoughts about the upcoming season. Among respondents, every NFL team fandom was represented. 50% were men, 49% women, and 1% were non-binary. Ages ranged from 18-85 with an average age of 41.
Over 52 percent of all the fans polled in this NJ Bet survey feel the refs play favorites. The teams that get the biggest benefit according to the study were the Chiefs, Patriots, Cowboys, Packers and Buccaneers.
Usually getting calls to go your way is closely associated with winning.
Not only was that a crazy statistic, 1 in every 6 fans polled believe the NFL is fixed. 42 percent of the Falcons fans polled felt the League is rigged, with the Jets coming in at 40 percent, Jaguars and Raiders at 36 percent, and Cardinals at 33 percent.
The crazy thing is only one of those teams made the playoffs last year (Jaguars).
