Raiders are expected to get Aldon Smith back in March; If he stays out of trouble

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Aldon Smith will be reinstated in March if he doesn’t mess up before that in the drug program. The former first-round pick, who had 33.5 sacks over his first two seasons needs to be on the field, because the Raiders have a stacked team.

Smith is currently serving a year-long ban for violating the league’s policy on substances of abuse. He applied for reinstatement back in late October, but that decision was deferred by the NFL in December.
