Not many people are going to like this move, but I for one am a big fan. Last year for the Chicago Bears, Josh McCown did a great job at replacing the injured Jay Cutler. Well today when Lovie Smith was asked if Josh McCown would be the starter, he stated Yes, he is.
There isn’t going to be any competition with second-year pro Mike Glennon. Turning the keys over to a 34-year-old journeyman who’s made seven starts since 2007 isn’t exactly an orthodox move, but I like it.
