16-year-old Texas High School Football Player Shot and Killed over a Video Game
We are saddened to hear that Fort Worth Southwest High School football player Tavion Swindell was fatally shot and killed in a dispute over a video game.
Swindell suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest, after an incident that stemmed from a dispute over a video game.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
Deevan Jones was arrested on Monday and is being held on a 260,000-dollar bond.
Swindell was expected to play football in the 2024 season. It is so sad to see a person killed over a video game.
The school cancelled a scrimmage on Thursday after the death Swindell. The Raiders football team was set to play its second scrimmage of the preseason on Thursday against Heights at Farrington Field in Fort Worth on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
