A Maryland High School Football Player Collapses and Dies at Practices
Three high school football players in Alabama, Missouri and Kansas have died this year after collapsing while practicing during high temperatures.
Well add Maryland to the list of states with a high school football player dying. The Franklin (Maryland) high school football community is in mourning after news broke that 16-year old Leslie Noble, a junior guard on the Indians varsity football team, suffered a medical emergency during practice on Wednesday morning and died shortly thereafter.
Noble was a starting offensive lineman for the football team, and also played basketball. The Medical Emergency happened around 9:15 am, and CPR was performed on the young athlete.
Noble was pronounced dead later at the hospital.
It was the team’s first practice of the fall season. Temperatures in the area were in the low 70’s on Wednesday morning and the team was not in pads during the drills.
Please keep the Noble family in your prayers, during this tough time.
