What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2025 NFL Draft?
The game of football is a team sport. I would be remiss to not recognize my teammate and coaches for helping me become the player I am today. What makes me a 2025 top draft prospect is my ability to consistently produce at an elite level year, after year. It sounds simple, but that kind of consistency is remarkable uncommon. Two of the most important measurable is punting average and punts inside the 20. Last season average of 45.9 yards per punt and 65% of punt inside the 20 makes me a top prospect. More importantly, is my 3-year cumulative 44.2-yard average with 60% inside the 20. These statistics may be unsurpassed in college football, regardless of division. A good punter may have a great season, but a truly elite punter has an unprecedented career.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
NFL teams should know that I’m a leader. I lead by examples on and off the field. I believe one of an athlete’s great strength is their ability to lead. True leadership is an all-encompassing attribute that transforms team and people. I take immense pride in representing my university both academically and athletically with character and integrity. To lead to means to serve and that is what I do.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
I would donate to tunnels to towers. It is a program that helps veterans that are homeless. Veterans have risks everything for this country and it’s a way of giving back to them.
Who was your role model?
My role model is my parents . Ever since I’ve been a kid, they have been there for me pushing me in athletics, academics, and life. They have always pushed me to become the best version of myself.
Who is your favorite NFL team?
Growing up I loved the Packers because my family was from Wisconsin and Brett Frave. He was a tough, fearless, humble, and competitive quarterback. Then when he retired, I followed Peyton Manning around to the Broncos, he’s a class act as well.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
Cole Wyant, he has been a team captain the past few years, he is a leader on and off the field. His work ethic is unmatched even though he hasn’t gotten the recognition that he deserves.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is laziness. I hate hearing about how people wish they could do this and that but are not willing to put their nose down and work towards their goals.
Who is your favorite teacher ever?
Lorrie Birkenbuel and Dan autenrieth, they are both professors at Tech. They have been a role model for me pushing me in the classroom and in life.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
Junior year in high school I tore my ACL, the 4th game of the year. It was hard to go from playing both ways to being on the sideline watch my teammates. It drove me to never take anything for granted again because one moment can be your last.
If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house what would it be?
Chipotle or Panda Express
What is your favorite snack food?
Beef jerky
What is your degree in?
Bachelors in Occupational hazard safety and health. A Masters in Industrial Hygiene
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Abraham Lincoln because he grew up in a tough era and had resilience to make something out of it.
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning because they are amazing quarterbacks.
What is your biggest weakness?
At times I can be a harsh self-critic. Over time I have learned to do a better job discerning whether I’m being overly critical of myself and my performance or allow myself some grace. Since there are too many variables to control. My job is to mitigate any negative situation to the benefit to our team.
