Texas high school football player collapses during pre-game warm-ups
This past week in Sugarland, Texas in a high school matchup between Jordan High School and Hightower High School, a football player for Jordan High collapsed during pre-game warm-ups.
Shortly after Jordan players ran out to the field ahead of their 6A Division II playoff game against Hightower High School, the player collapsed and needed an Ambulance to take him to the hospital.
Athletic trainers and coaches were seen tending to someone on the ground close to the Jordan sideline.
An ambulance was quickly called out to the field. The player was placed on a gurney to applause from the crowd and loaded into the vehicle. All this happened as players for both teams took their knees and waited.
This has happened quite a bit this year in high school football. It is very scary, and we hope the young man is doing well.
