Former Pennsylvania All-American football player killed in violent car crash

A Pennsylvania high school is mourning the death of one of their alumni today. Methacton High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania is where Tonee Ellis was an All-American football player and wrestler.
Unfortunately, Ellis, 22, was killed when police say his car left Route 22 in Perry County and smashed into a tree which caused it to catch fire.
Ellis, was known as one of Montgomery County’s most decorated athletes for accolades in both football and wrestling.
Ellis attended Alvernia University where he was enshrined in their wrestling record book, before transferring to Indiana University of Pennsylvania last year when he was a rising senior.
He was a first-team All PAC-Liberty League defensive lineman at Methacton High School, and earned the prestigious title of All-American in wrestling. He was studying biology with a concentration in ecology, conservation and evolution.
The family has started a GoFundMe page in Tonee’s honor. If you can donate anything that would be a huge help.
To the Ellis family, we are praying for you. May Tonee Rest in Peace.
