Northwestern Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald suspended for hazing allegations

Pat Fitzgerald has turned the Northwestern football program into a pretty legit team, but the Wildcats are going to have to win their first two games this year without him.

According to reports, Northwestern has suspended Coach Fitzgerald for two games following an investigation into hazing allegations.

In 2023, there was an investigation that proved Coach Fitzgerald did not know about his teams hazing, but say he could have discovered them.

“While the investigation did not discover evidence that coaching staff knew about ongoing hazing, the investigators said that there had been opportunities for them to discover and report the hazing conduct,” the university announced Friday.

Northwestern was horrible last year going 1-11, and were hoping to bounce back this year. This is a huge problem for Northwestern football. They did add Ben Bryant as their quarterback so that could help them win a couple more games than expected.
