Portland State football player shot and killed his ex-girlfriend who was an avid activist

According to the parents of Amara Marluke, Keenan Harpole and their daughter were in an on-again/off-again relationship.
The young Amara Marluke was an active activist and advocated for Black lives.
Harpole was a running back for Portland State University and was a pretty solid player. The running back turned himself in to the police.
The 19-year-old Amara Marluke was gunned down near Portland State University during the early morning hours on Monday.
According to Amara’s family, she and Harpole were in an on-again, off-again relationship that started in the summer of 2021 but quickly went sour. The pair met at PSU, where both were students — Amara was in her first year, studying music, and he was a football player.
Harpole is currently being held without bail at the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
