Draft Diamonds Free Agent Interview: Isaiah Lewis, Running Back
Hello I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL and CFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. So I hope you all read Isaiah Lewis’ interview and follow his journey on Twitter @ZayLewis_

3.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?
Win. I believe as a football player on any team that should be the #1 goal entering a game.
4.What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Being prepared as a true freshmen linebacker at Morgan State University when we played Army in 2013. Entering the game I was 4th string but at halftime my name was called and I started from that point on. Ended up with about 8 tackles for that half I played! Favorite moment of being prepared for the game!
5.What do you do for fun?
I like to spend time with my nieces and nephews. They give me a breath of life.
6.If your life was a tv show what would you call it and why?
Overcoming Obstacles
7.What has been your biggest challenge in life?
Proving that I am still one of the best football players in America after a couple of years of not playing! It’s almost like your name gets erased and I’m here to do the impossible! Always been on top now I’m working to get there and stay there.
8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
My oldest brother Mason Hayes. He’s always been an inspiration to me. He was like Superman growing up.
9.Rank focus, footwork and skill based on what is most important to you as a football player and explain why?
Focus is most important because if you are focused out of 100 play game you’ll make more of a difference than a guy who isn’t focused but more talented than you. Skill is next because if you carry skill you carry more advantage than ones who don’t. Footwork would be last for me because that’s something that can be taught. Football is a game of angles!
10.What would a team get in a player like you?
A true winner. A guy that fights for every inch!
11.What do you hope to achieve as a football player going forward?
I just want to encourage the kids behind me on being the best them they can be! Life is full of ups and downs and as long as you are being the best you, you can be then you can achieve anything.
12.What is your favorite workout?
My favorite workout is the power clean. It is a full body workout and it translates tremendously to the game of football.
