Jerry Jones says Cowboys do not have a pressing need at running back
Are the Dallas Cowboys really considering going into the season with Darren McFadden as their number one back? Jerry Jones the Cowboys owner talked about the running back position today, and he stated the position is not as urgent as people think.
“It’s not urgent. It’s not urgent in the draft,” he said. “We don’t have that as a must to come out of here with a running back.”
“Yes, if we had to,” he said. “Yes. Again, is running back an area of interest position-wise? Certainly. Certainly it is. But my opinion is we could play with the running backs we’ve got right now and play well. I’d say we do need to help the defense, as a must. By hook or crook,” he said.
