Player Summary:
Rashad is a returning 3rd team all-conference senior and 2-year starter on the Tulane offensive line, he is a powerful offensive tackle who has the ability to kick in to guard at the next level. He plays with great pad level and patience and is able to stay square in his vertical sets which allows him to stay in between defenders and the quarterback. However, he often floats in his sets which gets him too close to the quarterback in protection. He places his hands rather than striking defenders, allowing defenders to swipe his hands in pass rush. Rashad struggles to move his feet and can get beat by athletic defensive ends. In the run game he plays with a good pad level and a high motor he will need to improve his strength as he prepares to go to the next level in order to block bigger and better defensive linemen.
Player Strengths:
- Has great size and the ability to add 15 pounds to his frame to play guard
- Stays square in his stance and has a good vertical set
- Good pad level in both pass and run game
Player Weaknesses:
- Average strength
- Places hands instead of striking
- Poor hand placement at times
- Does not move feet to defensive counter moves
- Does not have the length of an NFL tackle
