Could the Jacksonville Jaguars make a run at Vikings running back Adrian Peterson?
Peter King of SI.com had a good piece this morning on Adrian Peterson. He believes that the two contenders for Adrian Peterson services are the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. However, he feels neither team is going to “do something stupid” to land him, especially with how deep the draft class is at running back.
The Cowboys have enough cap room to swing a trade right now, while the Cardinals have only 9 million in cap room. Peterson’s cap figures for the next few years are rough, but if he can lower his cap, which he has reportedly said he would be willing to do, they could be an option.
King however refers to the Jacksonville Jaguars as his “upset special” team that could trade for Peterson. This move makes sense, but if I was Peterson, I would rather stay in Minnesota than leave for J-Ville.
