2011 NFL Draft’s top 11 picks have registerd 154.5 sacks
The 2011 NFL Draft was a draft of beauty for the first 11 picks of the draft, especially if you drafted a defensive player. 5 of the top 11 players drafted were on the defensive side of the ball, and to be honest all of them have been very special.
The Denver Broncos drafted Von Miller with the second pick in the NFL Draft. Miller has recorded 44 career sacks in his short time.
The Buffalo Bills selected Marcell Dareus with the third pick in the NFL Draft. Dareus has recorded 25.5 career sacks in his stay and is having the best year of his career.
The Arizona Cardinals drafted Patrick Peterson who has only recorded 1 sack but has been a ball hawk and amazing return man. Peterson is a good player who just received a monster pay day.
The 49ers have a decision to make, because Aldon Smith has been suspended quite a bit over the first few years, but the guy has a knack to get to the quarterback. Smith has 42 career sacks in way less playing time than everyone on this list.
The Texans had the #11 pick in the draft, and if we could go back to Draft Day maybe their pick would be the first person selected. J.J. Watt has been the MVP of this season in my opinion and the freak has 41.5 sacks over his career.
So when you add that all up you come up to 154.5 sacks, that is an insane number for 5 players that were just drafted a few years ago. All should receive a very nice pay check to stick around.
