NFL Media Insider Ian Rapaport reported Friday that the Vikings have concluded the “search portion” of their quest to find their next head coach. The one loose end is Greg Roman, the San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator whom the team would still like to speak with, according to a source informed of the Vikings’ thinking.
After that meeting, Rapoport has been told that three finalists will travel to Minnesota to meet with ownership, likely after the weekend.
It looks like they are down to their final three, Mike Zimmer the Defensive Coordinator from Cincinnati, Todd Bowles the Defensive Coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals and Greg Roman.
San Francisco OC Greg Roman will interview today for the Minnesota Vikings head coaching job, per league sources.
