Steelers sign former Cowboy Will Allen at Pro-Rated Cost

Today the Steelers added a true veteran to their secondary, when they signed former Dallas Cowboys safety Will Allen who was released the other day by America’s Team.  Allen is a 10 year veteran and will provide a very solid vet to the Steelers secondary.  This could be a way to turn the season around, they are going to need the secondary to step up. The good sign is the team signed Allen to a cheaper rate.

Another former player rejoins Steelers: Safety Will Allen signed today. Released by Cowboys earlier this week.

Will Allen will cost Steelers pro-rated portion of veteran minimum, or $630,000. Steelers expected to release S Damon Cromartie-Smith.
