What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

The excitement I got from the game, I’ve been playing football since I was 7 years old.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Rookie of the Year, All Pro, Hall of Fame.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Charles Woodson, best defensive back to the play the game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Beating Washington at Oregon my freshman year, and going to the conference championship last year versus UTSA.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My parents, what they’ve gone through all of their life to help me the most in everything I do is the most inspiring to me.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I don’t have a favorite just being on the field, whatever my coach calls I do it to the best of my ability.

What should we know about Kahlef Hailassie the person?

What people should know about me as a person is that I’ve been through a lot in LIFE and I’m much bigger than just an athlete I want to change the world in many other ways.

What stands out about your film the most?

My versatility, can play every single position on the backend, can play every single coverage, cover 1, 2, 3, 4. Can do it all 3 sacks, 8 TFLs, 13 PBU, 2 interceptions, had over 100 plus tackles in my two years of playing at WKU. There is nothing that I can’t do.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Pray to god and attack them face first with my chest out.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A playmaker, a hard worker, a great teammate.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The excitement I get from making plays and making the crowd jump.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Isaah Crocker, University of Oregon, the world hasn’t seen his talents yet.
