NFL issues a tampering warning regarding Roquan Smith’s situation | Why you need a certified agent!

Roquan Smith trade demand takes bizarre turn
Roquan Smith trade demand takes bizarre turn, the NFL is now saying his reps (who are not certified) could cost the teams a draft pick.

Every year there is a player who fires their agent and turns to a friend or a person who claims to be a so-called marketing manager. What does that mean? It means that NFL players are not smart and they sign with an agent who is not certified on the NFLPA website.

Well, Roquan Smith the Bears star linebacker does not have an agent and there is a person acting as his rep who is not certified by the NFLPA contacting NFL teams. Because this happened, teams had to report it and the NFL released a memo about the situation yesterday.

“Tampering is a corrosive problem that undermines both the integrity of the game and relationships among clubs. Accordingly, in the event that tampering is found, the Competition Committee has recommended the imposition of more stringent discipline than…imposed in prior years.”

We just watched the Dolphins get crushed for Tampering and lose a first round pick. Well, Smith’s situation is tampering because the Bears have not given Roquan Smith permission to seek a trade.

So if a team is contacted by a person who is claiming to represent Roquan Smith is tampering and could cost the team draft picks if they do not report it.

At the end of the day, the easiest way to fix this problem is hire a certified agent. If you hire a person not on the NFLPA website under agent search, he cannot do much for you in the NFL. Just a heads up.
