What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I would say in the 6th grade my friends sparked my interest in it and I tried out and made the team and grew to love it.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments are 1.Winning the GMAC championship this past year something I have never experienced before. 2.Catching my first touchdown in my first varsity football game in high school as a tight end and for a big guy that was a huge feeling.

What sets you apart from other offensive linemen?

That I have great length, a quick get off, speed, I have great footwork and am very agile.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring a controlled aggression. Hyped but kept inside not hyped out loud but very aggressive.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Deion Sanders, I love the energy he brings, I like his swag. I like the confident energy he has so I would like to hang out with him.

How do you prepare for games?

I listen to trap music it gets me hyped. I make sure I eat a good breakfast, say a prayer and I like to sit and meditate with my eyes closed.

What should we know about Mike Jerrell the person?

I’m a goofy person, very outgoing, very friendly, very caring and hardworking.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I like a more balanced offense that knows when to run and when to pass because it throws people off guard like we have at Findlay we are a run first team but we can also switch it up and pass.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

When I know a challenge is presented to me I do everything I can to prepare like a test in school. My preparation, my studying and my attention to details help get me through those challenges.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team will get a player dedicated, hardworking, and tough and a player who is experienced but also will want to learn alot more.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to repeating as GMAC champions, to hopefully getting over the hump of the first round in the playoffs and being GMAC offensive lineman of the year.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I would say Tanner Schroeder our wr he’s very and doesn’t get much recognition, Ervin Besingi great defensive end who also doesn’t get the recognition and Ben Farrar who gets some recognition but not the amount he deserves, great All American player.
