Redskins will use a tag on Kirk Cousins; They just do not know which tag to use
The Washington Redskins are in a sticky predicament, because they have a quarterback who is playing well, but he is truly not worth 19.748 million dollars a season (Franchise price). The transition tag is around 17.5 million, but another team can sign Cousins to a tender offer, which the Redskins would have to either match or not.
Redskins are tagging QB Kirk Cousins, per league source. Only decision left is whether team uses franchise or transition tag on him.

The Redskins have a tough choice to make, but at the end of the day, Cousins should be pumped. Last season he only made around 660k dollars. So he is looking at an extremely large raise in 2016.
