Mike Mayock has Carson Wentz as the top quarterback prospect — Jared Goff has small hands, but both Wentz and Lynch were good

Some NFL teams will be scared of a quarterback because of his hands, and Jared Goff the quarterback from California is a guy everyone was worried about.

With the Browns desperately looking for a quarterback in the draft, they may not feel safe with Goff as their guy with the second pick because of his hand size. With cold weather and rain, it is not easy to grip a ball, then take in the consideration that his hands are already small, the grip becomes harder for the gunslinger.

Starting AFC North quarterbacks Joe Flacco (9 5/8) and Andy Dalton (9 1/2) are both above the 9-inch mark; Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger’s hand size wasn’t made public at the 2004 combine, but is likely bigger than 9 inches.
