Today the Miami Dolphins signed former Arena Football standout wide receiver A.J. Cruz.
Cruz, just 5-foot-9 and 195 pounds, isn’t your typical prospect. He played defensive back at Brown and wasn’t drafted out of college. Cruz spent two years in the AFL, most recently with the Arizona Rattlers. He did go to camp with the Chicago Bears in 2015, but was among the last cuts.
Cruz is a good punt and kick returner as well, and will compete with former German Football Standout Tyler Davis. The NFL is getting more global and I like it.
