Steelers land Mike Munchak as their next O-Line coach

Today the Pittsburgh Steelers might have made the best move in a long time for their franchise.  They hired former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak as their next O-Line Coach.

Munchak, a native of Scranton (PA), also drew interest for Penn State’s head-coaching vacancy, but lost out to ex-Vanderbilt HC James Franklin. Munchak was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2001 after making the Pro Bowl nine times as a Houston Oilers offensive guard.

Munchak was previously an O-Line coach for the Titans before getting hired as their head coach. Munchak refused to fire his offensive coordinator and was relieved of his duties.  I don’t think he could have landed in a better position.  The Steelers win big time with this hire.
