Southern University Football Player Arrested in Oklahoma on Domestic Violence Charges after Video goes Viral

Quaydarius Davis, a 22-year-old former football player at Southern University, was booked into the Tulsa County Jail in Oklahoma on Saturday, April 12, in connection with domestic violence-related charges.
Davis is facing charges of first-degree burglary and domestic abuse and battery by strangulation. The arrest follows the circulation of a video on social media that appears to show Davis with a woman who claims he choked her until she lost consciousness.
According to police records, additional surveillance footage reviewed by deputies reportedly shows Davis forcefully kicking in the door of the victim’s apartment and entering the residence. Deputies say the video further depicts Davis allegedly strangling the victim until she is rendered unconscious. Authorities also stated that Davis re-entered the apartment afterward and took several items.
Davis was dismissed from the Southern University football team in October 2024 for violating team rules, according to a university spokesperson. While the specific nature of the violation was not disclosed, the school confirmed that Davis is no longer affiliated with SU Athletics.
