The Senior Bowl Hall of Fame Class of 2025

The Senior Bowl announced its 2025 Hall of Fame class members on Thursday afternoon. This year’s prestigious class includes some of the best modern-era players and coaches to play and coach the game. They join a legendary group of athletes, including Walter Payton, Ozzie Newsome, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, and Larry Allen. Here are the 2025 inductees who will be enshrined in May at a ceremony at the Grand Hotel Golf Club & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama. They will also honor Braden Fiske (Rams), Ladd McConkey (Chargers), and Bo Nix (Broncos) as their rookies of the year.
Offensive Tackle Terron Armstead
Armstead participated in the 2013 Senior Bowl before becoming a third selection by the New Orleans Saints. He has become one of the most consistent offensive tackles in the NFL and is a five-time Pro Bowl tackle. Mr. Armstead played collegiately at HBCU Arkansas Pine-Bluff, earning three consecutive first team All-SWAC honors. He is one of two offensive tackles from the 2013 NFL Draft who are still active in the league and playing at a high level. The third round in the 2013 draft proved very successful, with Armstead, Travis Kelce, Tyrann Mathieu, and Keenan Allen logging significant snaps in 2024..
Defensive Tackle Geno Atkins
The former Bengals superstar played college football at the University of Georgia before playing in the 2010 Senior Bowl. Cincinnati drafted Atkins in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played solely for the Bengals during his 11-year career. The eight-time Pro Bowler logged 75.5 sacks, 384 tackles, 100 tackles for loss, and 172 quarterback hits in his illustrious career. He’s a member of the All-Decade team for the 2010s and garnered two All-Pro selections. Atkins was a stalwart in Cincinnati and should get some NFL Hall of Fame consideration soon.
Coach Jon Gruden
Gruden began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Tennessee in 1986 and spent 30 seasons in the NFL before his departure in 2021. He departed the league during the 2021 season while serving as the Raiders’ head coach due to a horrific email scandal that contained language that no one should utter or even think of uttering. He led the 2002 Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title. Gruden’s extensive coaching tree includes Mike Tomlin, Raheem Morris, Sean McVay, and Kyle Shanahan. He coached in the Senior Bowl four different times.
Center Alex Mack
Mack is this generation’s Ironman at the center position, starting all 196 games he played over 13 seasons. The seven-time Pro Bowler had a distinguished career and should garner some votes, as he will soon be on the NFL Hall of Fame ballot. He’s also another member of the 2010 All-Decade team, alongside Geno Atkins. Most known for his Cleveland days, he spent five seasons with the Falcons and one season with the 49ers to cap off a potential HOF career. Could he complete the Cleveland to Canton journey like several greats before him? Mack participated in the 2009 Senior Bowl.
Cornerback Richard Sherman
The unquestioned leader of the famed “Legion of Boom” got his start as a receiver in college for Stanford before transitioning to cornerback. In his time, he was one of the best cornerbacks of his generation. The 11-year veteran snagged 37 interceptions and 116 passes defended, along with 495 combined tackles. He also made the 2010 All-Decade Team alongside his Senior Bowl HOF brethren. The five-time Pro Bowler was elected to the All-Pro team three times in his career. He participated in the 2011 Senior Bowl.
