Dallas Cowboys Legend Larry Allen Passes Away at 52

According to the Cowboys, Former Dallas Cowboys star offensive lineman Larry Allen has passed away at the age of 52.
Allen was the star of stars on America’s Team during his tenure in Dallas before going home to play for the 49ers. He retired as a Cowboy in 2009 after an illustrious career that saw him elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013. The Cowboys selected him for their Ring of Honor in 2011 among his litany of honors.
The seven-time Pro Bowler earned his well-justified spot on the 1990s and 2000s All-Decade Teams. He holds the distinction of being the Dallas Cowboys record holder with the most Pro Bowl selections at ten. Mr. Allen was a monstrously freaky athlete who played and earned honors at multiple offensive line positions. Left guard (where Allen starred for many seasons) Tyler Smith currently wears 73 in his honor. It should be retired in short order. He was the strongest and one of the most athletic linemen of any generation. One of the more storied highlights of anyone is his famous chase-down tackle of a defender after an interception
Another was when he sent Steelers star linebacker Greg Lloyd flying on a pull block in the Super Bowl that showed off his strength and athleticism.
We at NFL Draft Diamonds offer condolences to the Allen family and the Cowboys for this tragic loss.
