What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I always enjoyed football growing up and the camaraderie it entailed. It’s rewarding to work with a group of guys towards a common goal. I also like to be challenged mentally and to think strategically which is an often overlooked aspect of football that keeps me coming back.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I’m very goal focused in football so attaining the goals I set out for myself that seemed unreachable at earlier stages in my career have been extremely fulfilling. I also loved spending time with my teammates on and off the football field. We did everything together.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

This one’s simple: I want to be the best football player that I can be. I want to push myself to my personal limits and make new connections while understanding the game on an even deeper level.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would hang out with Eric Berry for a day. He played for the team I watched growing up and I would love to hear his perspective trying to balance football along with his health complications.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I would say my mom. She has always believed in me and supported me no matter what. Without her, this dream wouldn’t be possible. She has kept me grounded and been a positive reinforcement in my life.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I’m not in love with any particular scheme, but I do love to play games, disguise coverages and trick the offense into playing into my hand. I did this often in college and I think it’s a very underrated part of my mental capabilities in regards to football.

What should we know about Quinten Arello the person?

I’m a very hardworking, humble, and an honest person that can take criticism and learn from my mistakes. I pride myself on my ability to learn and apply new information or schemes quickly. I am a very precise thinker and love to be challenged.

What stands out about your film the most?

I never make any mental mistakes or blow coverages. One thing that I would like scouts to know that might not standout; However, is my ability to make quick and comprehensive checks depending on what the offense lines up in, their tendencies, motions, etc.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I handle them with great care and consideration. I like to think things through logically and come to a solid conclusion.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get an extremely smart, athletic, and adaptable player that could easily learn and implement new schemes while also providing a positive atmosphere. They would also get a leader that is able to connect with fellow teammates.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the strategic side of football the most. I love creating game plans for each team and figuring out tendencies. I feel like it’s a very overlooked part of football that I have personally grown to love.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I have played with is Braden Mullen. He’s a DE/LB that is deceptively quick and has the brains to lead and direct the first and second level of the defense
