HBCU football player Chazan Page was killed in a hit-and-run accident

An HBCU football player for Tennessee State University was killed when walking across the street on Sunday morning.
The driver reportedly left the scene immediately. Chazan Page, 20 years old, died after being struck by the vehicle.
Page was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where he died. Page played in 28 career games for TSU, starting all 11 games the last two seasons. He was heading into his senior season and was expected to be a star on their line.
Tennessee State’s athletic director released this statement:
“He helped bring out the best in others with his outstanding leadership on and off the field, positive attitude, and genuine care for the people around him. It is extremely difficult to lose a member of our athletics family, and we mourn the loss of Chazan,” TSU Director of Athletics Dr. Mikki Allen said in a statement. “Chazan Page will be deeply missed by our Big Blue family, as he was a phenomenal young man and leader who made everyone around him better. My thoughts and prayers are with our football student-athletes, coaches, families and friends.”
