New England Patriots 2024 3-Round NFL Mock Draft

Written by Karver Jordan
Round 1, Pick 3: QB Jayden Daniels LSU:
The New England Patriots are in desperate need of a franchise Quarterback, Jayden Daniels from LSU seems to be the right guy for New England. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner is the perfect player to get the franchise moving forward due to his marvelous athleticism and leadership traits. Daniels had himself quite the 2023 season with the LSU Tigers, 236 completions out of his 327 attempts for 3,812 yards with 40 touchdown passes and only four interceptions. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Dual Threat recorded the best QBR in college 95.6, on the ground Daniels had 135 rushing attempts for 1,134 yards and ten touchdowns. Jayden Daniels seems like the perfect fit for the Patriots at this spot.
Round 2, Pick 34: WR Roman Wilson Michigan:
One of the New England Patriot biggest needs in the 2024 NFL Draft is at the Wide Receiver position. After recording 48 receptions for 789 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023 with the Michigan Wolverines, Wilson was highly ranked on draft boards. The Michigan Wide Receiver recorded a 4.39 40-yard-dash at the combine and is compared to Wide Receiver Marvin Mims Jr.
From first glance of watching the 5-foot-11, 185-pound wide receiver highlight tape you can notice his speed and athleticism in his route running. Another important trait that I caught on to was his awareness, fellow QB JJ McCarthy would use his legs to move outside of the pocket and Wilson was solid at seeing that and getting open for his quarterback. Jayden Daniels and Roman Wilson seem like the right move at pick 34.
Round 3, Pick 68: OT: Blake Fisher Notre Dame
Drafting a Offensive Tackle at pick 68 seems like a great option, Blake Fisher is a solid young Offensive Tackle who is 6-foot-6, 312 pounds and will fill in nicely. After watching the OT film, you can see Fisher is solid in Pass Pro. New England Offensive line coach Scott Peters could help the Notre Dame prospect mold into a reliable tackle for many seasons to come; One thing that Blake Fisher could use some work on is building onto having a stronger Pass blocking base, sometimes he tends to get blown back and could use work in the run blocking aspect.
