What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I have always dreamed of playing sports at the highest level. I played a number of different sports growing up, but eventually, it all led to kicking the ball which resulted in me pursuing football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My first ever football experience, our first game at OSU in 2018. The energy from the crowd of 60,000 was something I had never experienced before. Winning the last-ever regular season game against OU was also an unforgettable moment.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Going forward I am looking to make the most of any opportunities that I am provided with. I want to enjoy the moment and be the best version of myself.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

John Carney. I have worked a lot with John throughout the years. It is evident that he is incredibly determined and focused. I would love to follow him around for a day back when he was playing to see how he went about his daily processes.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

The whole family. My parents worked tirelessly to be able to provide my brother and I with amazing opportunities and resources to pursue a number of different sporting dreams. My brother showed me that anything can be done with hard work and continued effort. He showed me a sporting path in the US college system was possible and when that came to an end he focused his energy towards work, now running a business.

What is your typical training routine?

I like to focus on as many areas as possible, training speed, power, mobility, and balance. I usually kick around three times a week with a goal to focus on each day, whether that is working on drills or live operations to further improve myself.

What should we know about Alex Hale the person?

I am highly committed and determined to my goals and how to get there. I am someone who loves the journey and team aspect of football, if the results were taken away that is all you have to enjoy.

What stands out about your film the most?

I have had kicks in a number of different situations and unique environments which has allowed me to develop well and build a strong and confident skillset.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I address what caused any issues and put a plan in place to make sure it won’t happen again in the future. A positive attitude goes a long way in handling challenges, allowing me to focus on improving the next situation instead of dwelling on the past.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A player who will work to be the best version of themselves. All I can do is provide my best effort and support other players to do the same for themselves.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the team aspect. I have played a number of different sports from team to individual sports and football has a team bond like no other. I have been on many different teams with different skill sets, and the best results always come from a well-connected team which is enjoyable to be a part of.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Jaylen Warren. Jaylen was a very good player at OSU but didn’t receive the hype he deserved. He was always working hard, battling through injuries, and was a great teammate. He was signed as an undrafted free agent and turned a lot of heads at the Steelers but everyone at OSU knows that was nothing new.
