Player Summary:

A two-time transfer who has been a multi-year starter for multiple schools who immediately pops off of film with his size, is a tall and large framed player that has a round belly and a big base with short arms and good knee bend and is a solid athlete especially for his size. Is explosive off the ball with an aggressive and powerful first strike while maintaining a good pad level. Has good play strength that can max various rushers in a test of strength and win. Has solid lateral movement, especially on pulls that can set an edge in the run game. Has a good ability to set an anchor in pass rush using his strength and ability to maintain leverage. Can move up to the second level and block longer runs. Is always looking for a block or assignments during the entirety of a play. Displays competitive toughness and high football IQ in a scheme that requires a fair share of gap and zone and he is able to play any blocking scheme.

Would like to see better use of hands as he tends to get on the outside of shoulders and does not always try to win back hand placement. Struggles on pass rush moves that involve speedy cross face movement. Tends to lean forward while run blocking in man blocks. Most of his issues are technique based that can be coached.

Scheme Fit:

Has the ability to play guard at the next level in any scheme where he can use his size, strength, IQ and explosiveness to win.

Power Statement:

A large offensive guard that draws attention with his athletic ability and size that can immediately play in a backup rotational role and move up into a starter role once he gets used to the game at the next level. Has potential to be a solid to good player at the next level.
