Player Summary:

5th Yr GR and 4 yr full-time starter at WR where he plays both outside positions as well as occasionally in the slot in the Spread offense of OHMT. He possesses adequate height, subpar weight and ordinary speed with a slender build. He is a solid athlete showing a combination of solid acceleration, balance, COD, explosiveness, lateral quickness and agility with average top end play speed. He is quick off the ball and exhibits quality FBI as he effectively reads the coverage and finds the soft spot in zone. He shows solid hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem at a 90-degree angle on out breaking routes. He tracks the ball well in the air and possesses good hands displaying above-average manual dexterity that enables him to catch the ball with his hands away from his body. He displays solid ability to adjust his body to the pass thrown low as he makes the catch near the ground. He is solid at working his way back to the QB on broken plays. He does an average job of beating press coverage physically against CB with subpar physical toughness. On running plays to his side, he displays the willingness to block. He exhibits good mental toughness as he rises to the occasion in the redzone. He is adequate in contested catch situations as he struggles to consistently use his body to shield CB with good ball skills away from making a play on the ball. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from stretching a defense vertically and taking the top off a defense on go routes. In addition, his lack of home run speed prevents him from gaining significant YAC consistently. Ordinary play strength prevents him from maintaining his run block against DB with good length and physical toughness.

Scheme Fit:

XWR in Spread offense.

Power Statement:

Intelligent, experienced player who does an excellent job of reading the coverage and possesses good hands. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from gaining significant YAC consistently.
