Kentucky athletic trainer revived a 13-year-old football player who collapsed on the field | CPR and AED were needed

The Athletic staff of a Kentucky middle school saved the life of a 13-year-old football player that collapsed on the field.
The team was holding a summer football practice in Bardstown and if it was not for the quick thinking athletic staff 13-year-old Carson Dickey would be dead.
According to WLKY.com, Dickey stepped onto the football field for the first time to do summer conditioning when he collapsed running 40 yard sprints.
He went to one knee and would eventually roll onto his back unconscious. Staff immediately grabbed an AED and athletic trainer Brittany Woodward who was on another field responded.
The trainer was able to use the defibrillator and get Carson’s heart beating again.
EMS arrived and rushed the young athlete to a Louisville hospital, where tests revealed a surprise.
Carson’s collapse on the field had nothing to do with exertion or temperature. Doctors discovered the eighth-grader has Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
Carson spent six days on a ventilator and is now doing well. Praise God for the quick response time of the athletics staff. I would like to send the message to Brittany Woodward, you are a true hero! Thank you for your response and work! God Is So Good!
