What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

God. I’ve always been an athlete, but God led me towards football after playing a couple years of college basketball.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I want to become the best offensive lineman I can be and ultimately make an impact in the NFL.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Trent Williams because he was the first offensive lineman that I watched when I started playing the position. He has great footwork and is very dominant. I would use the time to absorb knowledge of the game from him and learn his techniques.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I would say winning the Heart conference championship with my team and being able to compete in the NAIA national playoffs and earning an All American accolade.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom inspires me the most because I’ve watched her work hard and sacrifice a lot for our family. When things don’t go her way, she doesn’t give up she knows how to adapt to adversity.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

The read option and spread because I get the opportunity to pull into open space on screens.

What should we know about Chim Okorafor the person?

I’m resilient and hardworking. I’m the type of person who loves to learn new ways to better myself. Accountability is one of my biggest values.

What stands out about your film the most?

First thing that stands out is my size. I have D1 size but took an unorthodox path. My footwork and ability to get to the second level when run blocking and pulling. Also my ability to read defensive fronts and identify the biggest threat.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

In life, I seek God first. I pray for guidance before I make any decisions. Then I can say that I don’t shy away from challenges. I’ve been doubted and have dealt with adversity my whole life so I have learned to adapt and take them head on.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Whatever team picks me up is getting a player with a high IQ who has natural leadership skills. A player who isn’t afraid to lead by example and do the dirty work that others may shy away from.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the preparation. Seeing all the hard work I do in private manifest itself during games. Getting the chance to be violent and aggressive as I’m the total opposite off the field. I also love the competition, whether it be competing for a starting spot or competing against a defender.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I played with so many underrated players at Benedictine College but one of them is Isaac Anderson. He’s a strong and explosive DL and if he was a little taller he’d be playing Division 1.
