4 Young Players to Watch at the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday will likely be one of the most best sporting events of the year.

The latest NFL lines rate the Eagles as favorites to win the NFL title, although there is little to choose between either team in the betting.

The big game has attracted loads of interest around the world – a point evidenced by several intriguing crossovers into other sports.

One of the most noteworthy was squad members of Premier League soccer club Tottenham Hotspur taking part in an exciting NFL Teammates Challenge.

The players had plenty of fun during the challenge and will no doubt have a keen eye on the Super Bowl when it is staged in Arizona this weekend.

One of the most interesting aspect of the big is the number of rising stars who could make a name for themselves during the game. Here are four young players to watch at the Super Bowl.

Nick Bolton

There will be plenty of pressure on linebacker Nick Bolton’s shoulders as he attempts to fend off the Eagles’ array of offensive talent this weekend.

Bolton has recorded 102 tackles in the run game this term, the second highest among linebackers this term behind Jacksonville Jaguars’ Foyesade Oluokun (109)

His ability to burst through gaps on run blitzes has served the Chiefs extremely well this season and it would be no surprise to seem him make game-changing plays on Sunday.

Jordan Davis

Jordan Davis was a standout performer for Georgia in college football, and the Eagles recognised his potential by making him the 13th overall pick in the 2022 draft.

Despite his size and bulk, Davis defies logic by showing levels of movement that many players of lesser stature struggle to match.

While injuries have hindered his rookie season, the Eagles’ defensive unit looks much better with him in it and he will be keen to showcase his skills against the Chiefs.

Trent McDuffie

Trent McDuffie was the 21st pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and has proven the wisdom of that decision with some stellar performances for the Chiefs this season.

He has allowed just 25 receptions over his 11 games played – a statistic that demonstrates his ability to be a top defensive talent in the NFL.

After missed a chunk of the early part of the regular season with a hamstring injury, McDuffie has bounced back in style and could be an unlikely Super Bowl star.

Kenneth Gainwell

Having bagged 240 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 53 carries, Kenneth Gainwell could look back on the regular season with a sense of pride.

He also weighed in with 23 receptions for 160 yards, but has stepped things up during the play-offs to become the Eagles’ go-to player on the ground.

Gainwell has made 26 carries for 160 yards, scored a touchdown and had three runs of 15 or more yards. The Chiefs will need to watch him closely this weekend.
