Is this really true? I mean, I would not put anything past the Houston Texans with how they have handled the Deshaun Watson situation, but there are rumors swirling that the Texans truly want Josh McCown as their next head coach.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Texans seriously want to hire McCown as their next head coach, and they are hoping another team will interview him so it adds legitimacy to him if they hire him.
According to Aaron Wilson formerly of the Houston Chronicle, the Jaguars had a conversation with McCown earlier this week.
I am not sure if this is true of just the media trying to help McCown get his name out there but this could be interesting.
I mean don’t get me wrong, McCown has zero experience coaching, but he played in the NFL for 17 years as a back-up. He obviously knows the game, and understands a lot, so maybe it wouldn’t be a bad move. What do you think though? Will the Texans truly hire McCown?
