Noah Green, the man who killed a Capitol Police officer Friday, was a former college football player

Noah Green, 25, played college football at Christopher Newport University. Green graduated from Alleghany High School in 2014, and would later play at CNU in Virginia.
He graduated from CNU in the spring of 2019 with a degree in finance. He played both running back and defensive back, earning All-District, All-Conference, and team MVP honors in 2013.
Green majored in business at CNU, according to the team site.
The man who police say rammed his car into a security barrier at the U.S. Capitol on Friday and was fatally shot by police after emerging from the vehicle with a knife had mental health issues.
Police say Green rammed a dark-colored sedan into a security barrier outside the U.S. Capitol, killing Officer William “Billy” Evans, an 18-year veteran of the U.S. Capitol Police Department. After the crash, police say, Green got out of the car with a knife in his hand, ran toward officers, and ignored their commands. Officers opened fire and killed him.
This is a crazy situation. A former college player killing an officer and getting killed.
