What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2027 NFL Draft?
What makes me a top prospect in the 2027 NFL Draft is my ability to adapt to my environment, and rise above adversity to be the best teammate and Quarterback that I can be. My college journey has been full of many stops and various setbacks. These all have led to being a backup QB stepping in game two of the season and throwing for 11 TDs and over 2500 passing yards. I have learned many offenses and have had to learn new terminology along the way.
Tell me about a time you faced adversity and how you responded?
While at Northern Colorado, I was informed I would not be the starter before our first game. I asked my head coach how I could be the best backup I could be to support the starter at the time. He was injured in game one, and how I prepared when adversity hit and once I got my opportunity was the same: I prepared like I was the starter mentally and physically.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
Outside of football I like to read my bible, workout, and go hiking in nature.
What role do you see yourself playing at the next level?
I see myself being a starter, but first working my way onto a team and if I need to assume a backup role and learn, then that will be great as well.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
I would donate to U.S. Veterans programs.
How do you handle coaching, especially criticism or being corrected repeatedly?
You can ask any coach I have ever played for. I am the most coachable player on the field. Having thick skin and being able to process information quickly are two traits I have always had. If a coach gets on me I accept it, he has a job to do and so do I. Take all the coaching and do not talk back to coaches, it is very simple.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
At Northern Colorado I would say Carver Cheeks who is now at UTEP. Great receiver who can take the ball out of the air and has a dawg mentality, definitely a sleeper that will be good for any team that picks him up.
If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would it be and why did you choose them?
Jesus, to ask him how I could be better in my life. Cam Newton, we are both JUCO guys who had a challenging story, and My Great-Grandfather John Keith, to learn what a hard days work was like.
If you were benched tomorrow, what would be the most likely reason?
Forcing the football into tight windows.
Walk me through your typical pre-game routine?
Walking on field listening to music envisioning making big time plays. Arm care routine, prayer, and then routes with any offensive personnel that needs catches.
What is your favorite snack food?
Fresh fruit
What scheme do you feel you fit the best in?
Spread, multiple progression offense.
What is your degree in?
Undergrad is Psychology, will have Masters in Cybersecurity December of 2027.
What would be the first thing you buy with your first NFL check?
I would save it, maybe take the family out to dinner.
Describe a time in a game where you feel you made a mistake, and explain how you bounced back?
Against Colorado State I ran a QB designed run, did not have the football high and tight and fumbled the ball. I went to the sideline and just kept telling myself to flush it. I came back out the next series and had 4 straight completions that marched us down the field which allowed us to put points on the board.
Name three songs, we can expect on your playlist?
Stay Strapped -Young Jeezy, Probably Cursed – EBK Jaaybo, Through the Late Night – Travis Scott
